It took me about 30 minutes ( no joke) to figure out how to play this LOL or at least how to walk and gather food. Please add a tutorial, because there are more people like me out there. ( Idiots) ANYWAY, I survived 2 days ! I'd say I am a pretty good LEADER wouldn't I. SURE everybody died.... but that's besides the point, right ? ;)

I don't think there is much to do after a short while, I cant get any more people in my settlement and resources are very limited, eventually I die being overrun by the enemy. I hoped I could get more settlements but I'm afraid I think I got to the limit. I wish it was still being built it could have been tonnes of more fun.
You can end the demo by clicking the anchor on the island next to the elevator if you've done everything in available in the demo.
Two of the developers involved (Semih Parlayan and André Bengtsson) along with two other Uppsala University students have set up development studio TeamCrew (http://www.teamcrew.se/) together and already released their first full game, Frog Climbers, on Steam (http://store.steampowered.com//app/485120). Johan Öhman, while not official member of TeamCrew, Composed the climbing music. So half of the original Anchored dev team are still at least collaborating.
Food is automatically used from storage building (food in your backpacks, on field or on ground won't be used) and there is not save feature, nor will there be one as development is not going to be continued as explained in store description.
Looking through the comments I'm surprised by the number of people suggesting things to make the game easier. I believe the game is too easy as it stands (and I've heard no more updates so that's a shame too). If I don't mess around, I can build everything on night 3 to float to another place, though that feature wasn't actually added in. Grabbing some stone and wood on the first trip means you can get at least 1 farm built before going back down. Next trip you get a 2nd or 3rd farm and now you're basically set. Set up 4 guard towers around the base and equip everyone with rifles, then cannons after upgrade. Sure some food gets taken if you choose not to win until night 10+, but by that time you have so many farms you can harvest and overfill the base so that it has to draw food behind the day-bar and off the screen. To people who post on these kinds of games asking for changes to make the game easier, I'd advise playing it a few times first... not sucking... and then decide if the suggestion should be made. The reason I ask this is because if some developer on another game actually takes one of these lousy suggestions seriously, it will ruin the game for everyone who isn't a 9-year-old girl. Thanks so much. :)
Just adjusted my strategy and can finish the game seconds before nighttime on day 1. Fastest run yet, but clearly not a game people should struggle with. I am bummed that this game concept isn't going to be developed further. It had potential.
This game is a really really good game I have had a lot of fun with it well you guys are not going to continue supporting it due to it being a concept, do you think there will be any possibility that someone could pick this game up and continue working on it. For myself i have had a blast playing it and really don't wanna see the game go to waste.

so i finished the game and got evertything oyu could wish for, including a food farm wich covers the supply for my setllers and fills up my storage at the same time. So at the end of night 9(due to the massive monster wave on this night i was lagging a lil) the nght lastet for ages even after i killed the monsters well night 10 didnt start after a good minute or 2 of the sun bein in the Nightime bar and my foodmeter is overfloing going behind the time bar XD. so rlly fun game im sad that this wont get developed any further its rlly fun 2 play.
A very well made game bringing together the mechanics of This War of Mine, Kingdoms New Lands and an rts interface to create a very interesting colony management/survival game. Very interested to see where this one goes.
Downloads don't start at full speed, they start super slow, before a download gets up to speed of course it's going to say it'll take forever, it was likely still initializing.
It's a shame this game won't see any further development. If you or some of you ever decide to take it up again, I'd definitely be willing to throw money at you. And I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be the only one. A very nifty rethinking of survival/ rts :)

Oh your computer is about to catch fire from overheating, it is 1:00 am, and you got really far? Don't care, restart tomorrow.

game it's realy fun but mobs hordes are too fast and too big on early game i think its should be more settlers or posibility to find or make aditional ones some beter posibility to defend isle(some turrets) and making it biger or posibility to atached smaller islands, change to biger dmg to settlers

Defending the island is quite doable with just the 4 settlers by building and manning towers. Just see the various youtube videos posted in the comments.
Well, when i saw this game i thought to myself: oh wow! this looks nice!, but after 40 min of playing i understood the game's cons and pros, here are my thoughts:

A week from never. This is the last version the dev team stopped working on it. It is a very nice demo, it is a shame really.

This is happening on a lot of Itch.io games at the moment, try a different browser or use the Itch.io Program.

Critters can get stuck sometimes and night won't end unless all of them are either dead or leave on their own so that's probably what happened to you.
